Despite the few importance that archaeologists receive, we discovered many places that are worth visiting. We also share, based on our experience, which places you should visit and what precautions you should take when you're visiting them.
In Paraguay, in the department of Guairá, where the adventurous ascent to the Ybytyruzú mountain range begins, there are some writings carved in stone, which are estimated to the date back to between 5,000 and 2,500 B.C.
This place is home of one of Paraguay's unsolved mysteries: the cryptic inscriptions carved into stones by our ancestors. Although that is not the only outstanding feature of this place, as in addition to these writings, there are some very beautiful landscapes offered by the Ybytyruzú mountain range, which makes this place not only a rock with cryptic inscriptions, but also a beautiful place with views provided by nature.
When traveling to Itá Letra, keep in mind that the journey is a bit complicated due to the ascent of the Ybytyruzú mountain range, so we suggest traveling by car. If you are not a Paraguayan citizen, it is best to rent a car to get to Itá Letra. Also, be careful when you get there because the area is quite rocky and uneven, with lots of stones and sand that can sometimes make it difficult to walk around. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and always drink a lot of water.
